Third Reactor Building Explodes

Shortly after the main earthquake and tsunami in Northern Japan, I started following real-time events on NHK's website in live video as they happen.

A third explosion has occurred at the #2 reactor at the ***ushima Nuclear Power Plant about an hour ago. Some of the staff at the reactor have been evacuated.

Real-time video news broadcasts from Japan are available online with English translation here: http://jibtv.com/program/

Better stock up on Potasium Iodide, if you're paranoid. If you're not paranoid I recommend tequilla.

I'm cretainly no expert on nuclear energy. But my guess is that what just occurred takes this event from being less than Three Mile Island up the scale to near Chernobyl.

And by the time the radioactive fallout crosses the Pacific and reaches the US West coast and Baja. it will be relatively harmless. But not as harmless as none.

Less impact on Baja than Alaska. Lets party!

The fear that the kids over there must be enduring. I cannot imagine any child comprehending all this images and talk of these events.
