TECATE ROAD....HWY-3 UPDATE

This just in from the Phantom Nomad Traveler:
-------------------------

4/4/2011

Lots of pot holes at vallecitos and beyond;
bridge at valle de las palmes still unpaved.
1 7/10s of a mile section a few miles north
of the bridge is still unpaved. Transition "step"
from 2 layer asphalt to 3 layer, in lanes and
on shoulders, can be suspension killers if hit
to fast, AND dangerous.

Still no military checkpoint anywhere along
the entire route.

1 hour and 15 minute wait do to massive
random "group" inspections in secondary.

Total route three drive time from the "alta
bandera in down town Ensenada to the
Tecate clock tower: 1 hour 30 minutes.
