Radar...We dont need no stinkin radar

First off..you will be hard pressed to see a police car as you cruise the toll road or any rapid highway...and I may be wrong but in Baja or Sonora I have never seen a radar gun used...I have see cutouts of a police officer standing by the side of the road warning of radar check...but no radar.........you clip along quickly with little problems in Mexico...now south of San Quentin...I cant say

I have seen these all over Hwy 1. Saw them in action at the last toll plaza into Ensenada. They do exist so be aware. But if the law wants to fine you, they will. With or without radar:lol:

BCS

When we went in to BCS October 2002 we spent time in La Paz, Todos, Cabo area and we saw LOTS of new Federal Highway Patrol cars, MANY with RADAR. :o

One trip on Hwy. 19 heading north there was a meat head that was following WAY too close thru a very curvy area. When we hit the straightaway I didn't have time to give him the pass signal before he and his buddy were flying by giving us the 'were number one' signal. They had the hammer down and over the rise southbound came a radar equipped patrol car that made a QUICK u-turn and hit the lights. We slowed WAY down and waved as we passed them on the side of the road.

This was right around the time of the APEC Conference in Cabo San Lucas when they had 'imported' LOTS of extra security. I would think some of this hardware remains. :?:

Drive safely!! :saint:

Radar

Elgatoloco, I was saved just last month by a guy like that! I was doing 70 and was thinking about slowing down in the area of the vados on HW 5 to San Felipe
because I had 2 warnings fom the same HWP in the same area. This guy came up behind and passed me at about 100, just before a vado, over the other side of the vado pops up the HWP and the guy just makes it back in front of me! The blue lights go on and a long dusty bootlegger turn and here he comes!, The guy pulls over in front of me and stops! I put the hammer down and was in San Felipe parked when both of them came into town.
Close!!
