What is a "Pierna" besides the obvious translation, (LEG)


This seems to be the generic name for the type of fish offered at the taco stands around La Paz/La Ventana. Anybody know what it actually is? Photos?

I've heard white fish or blanca called pierna on the gulf side.

The pacific whitefish is also referred to as "Conejo"
