Baja Run 2011 – Day X
(Time to get back to some writing.)
Well, can’t say I didn’t try. But I’ve set a record (for posts with zero (or 1) reply(ies)), and at this point there’s no reason to just run up the
score.
Do until crossing border:
Hop on the bikes and ride. See a bunch of cool stuff.
Meet some fine folks, including some good old friends and
some very fine new ones, too.
Eat. Very well, indeed, matter o’ fact.
Sleep (well!).
do
The end.
It was a great trip. And really fun introducing 14 good friends to the joy and beauty of The Magnificent Peninsula.
I know these write-ups aren’t for everyone. I don’t write for the benefit of those not interested. And some prefer picture books. Fine. This time
my picture book isn’t integrated with my write-ups. No sweat.
I really do have other audiences who actually find enough in these to engage and respond. Really. So I guess I’ll keep on keepin on. But there’s no
joy in putting these here.
I know, I already said this once. So I'm a slow learner. But I do learn. Eventually.

Hey, when you're right, you're right. (Wuz just enjoying Pompano's non-Baja pix.)
I know better than to just glom onto those fine photos taken by my buddy, Michael Price, on our trip, but he sez to have at 'em. So I want to redo
the last post (La Paz) with a few pix.
I know someone was recently identified as an authority on this but no way am I going to find that post again. Anyone? How do I imbed photos? (I
recall trying this once some time ago and failing.)
TIA

Copied this from a DavidK post on photo uploading----
Join Photobucket.com (free)
1) Before uploading photos from your PC, click 'Customize your Upload Options' and
select 640 pixels wide, then click Save (bottom right of that pop up).
2) Put mouse over the Photobucket image you want to post on Nomad, and see some
links appear for that photo.
3) Copy the IMG link
4) Past that link on the place where you type to nomad... put several photos per
post... add captions above or below... I like to double space between photo links.
5) Preview post to see if it looks the way you want... and post!
Note, you do not use Browse or need any additional Nomad feature, as the [IMG] and
[/IMG] tags are already in the Photobucket link!

barbarosa;
i will add one tip to bajalou's copied directions. you can't use quick reply and when use the "post reply" there are 10 icons under the font selection
area. the 7th is a mountain, click on that before you proceed with number 4 of bajalou's directions. that opens up the space to paste your photo link.
ok, that was 2 tips.
really enjoying the detailed trip report, photos or not.

If you follow David's directions, you don't have to click on that icon as the [img] etc are already in the link you paste. ?? You just paste the link
like it was text.
(I haven't tried it yet - but soon----

Guess it works! <g>
Wonder if it should be in the FAQs.
Item 1 should probably read:
"Before uploading photos from your PC, click 'Customize your Upload Options' ON THE UPLOADER PAGE and ..."
Wouldda saved me a bunch of head scratching.
Thanks again for the help.
