Border crossing south May 23rd

Solo, from SD I will be crossing the border Monday May 23rd in my '87 VW Syncro. Destination for much needed R&R is Gonzaga Bay. "I know the way." If you would like to meet at crossing let me know. Bajabrian@sbcglobal.net

Which border... down the 1 or the 5 to Gonzaga? Less dirt miles if using the 5 now (about 22) vs. 36 from the 1.

I will be crossing into T.J. I plan to drive home north via 5. We could meet on U.S. side at Mission Bay Visitors Ctr at the Clairemont Dr exit at 9:00. We could carvaan a much or little that interests you. My first night I plan to camp in Catavina. You may travel as much or little that you choose, maybe you have a further south destination. What city is home to you? Do you have a hand held 2-way or CB radio?
Syncronaut,
Brian

Not for me, I am going south the next weekend, to San Felipe area via the 5... I was just trying to fill in the information missing from your post.

If you leave early, you can drive to Gonzaga Bay easily in 1 day (9 hours).
