Full moon May 16

I'm having a really difficult time with the exposure. I have tried everything I know to adjust (ain't much) and I can't get a sharp shot. Always over exposed. Here's all I could get with any definition.

You figured out your exposures for that large pic.....

The moon reflects light so shutter exposure should be no slower than 1/30th second....or 1/125th with widest aperture setting (you can bracket here if you want)

Time exposures "over-expose" and all you get is a featureless white circle (or whatever phase moon is at).

Great shot !!

I'll work with the speed tonight. Although most of the over 80 shots last night were in the area motoged suggests. I really had to enhance the above shot to get the features to show.

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie....

That was a good one last night. You got it!
