Espiritu Santu National Park

Not sure on the resolution on the scan of the maps so
in a nutshell ....
"The park was established in May 7th, 2007. It has 40,000 ha. Is conformed by two general areas: Espiritu Santu Island and El Bajo. They are three nucleus zones where fishing is forbidden: Los Islotes, San Gabriel Bay and coral reef bar from Bonanza to Punta Lobos..."

The same line is Spanish says "cooperacion" so "contribution" may be just a translation misunderstanding not a "great scam."

And if you have a laptop without a scroll feature, you can hold the Ctrl key and use the +/- keys to grow or shrink the pages/items.

Skeet is 100% correct again.

The land and it's practical application is a shared resource of the people, no power has been given to any person or association to control or take away this resource as a shared resource from the people

Be very aware of people who claim to do some good while creating divisions, whether economical, physical or in any way, restricting people based on any criteria from the free respectful use of their resources.

There are groups of people from very far away who are using the ruse of protecting mother earth to steal land and resources from the rightful owners, the people.

Best practice is to act honorably to protect our resources from harm by our own actions, or by division from any others, for example and especially by groups such as the Man and the BioSphere.

Don't let yourself be confused by emotional arguments pulling at your heartstrings, while you hand over your rights and privileges for use to an institution with a track record of land exploitation worldwide who uses locals to divide and restrict other locals, in order to eventually establish have and have-nots, while slowing creating an institutional hand-over of effective ownership of our greatest resources to a collective body who is working solely for their own interest and gain.

skeet, newkid,
I can't read the fine print on the graphic, so why don't you tell us which organization is listed on the graphic that you are criticizing? or are you just criticizing all organizations because you are cranks that issue blanket indictments of all organizations?

Probably this group

A program of the Nature Conservancy. They are now (or were) funding Mexican organizations that appear to be doing the work for the park service. Probably little or no money for the park service's budget.

Here is one org who slapped down a chunck of change to the Mexican government to fund / help manage this. They had an office in town and one of the directors came and did some panga fishing with us (which I found heartening).

Sirena:
Are you aware of any Guards on this Island??

This Island would be the perfect place to transplant some of thos big ole Texas Black Diamond Rattle Snakes.

Have been engaged this past week in some Collection of Sizes and Lengths I think it can be arranged to have about 40 of the smaller "Species" planted on the Island in various places.

Would appreciate any information concerning any Gurads, Locations and Times.

thanks

No guards that I know of physically on Espiritu..... still commercial camp in the Partida and the couple company's (fun Baja in the Ensenada Grande etc) that have paid money to have semi permanent camps. They are really under the gun regarding the footprint of their operation and do a nice job. Enforcement is pretty much just the roving band of navy boats.. (some old swiftboarts etc.) that are asking for vessel permits, bracelets and permisos.... No one really been at Las Arenas/Muertos/Cerralvo lately checking on permisos etc.. they usually show up when we pull in and check on the beach.....

You can keep your snakes though. Thanks for the offer.

The documentation of questionable activities by members, founders and donors of World Wildlife Fund are available publicly for anyone who wants to do research.

But of course one could say oh well a few bad eggs don't spoil the whole basket or you know people change. Who cares if there are problems if they do some good? Why would any even care what the background is of people in the organization?

If you are interested you would simply start by doing a search of publicly available documents about the WWF, members, founders, donors and partners.

Past leaders
Prince Bernhard
John H. Loudon
Prince Philip
Syed Babar Ali
Peter Scott
Julian Huxley

with support from
Godfrey A. Rockefeller

Donors include
Chevron
Mobil
Exxon
Coca-Cola
Philip Morris

Partners include
Monsanto
Syngenta
Cargill
