Tourism Department, the Old Mill Restaurant and Hotel, as well as the Hotel Santa Maria and the Hotel Jardines Baja. This year the “Biggest Fish” tournament is set for the Fourth of July weekend from Friday, July 1 thru Sunday, July 3. There will also be the option to join a free escorted caravan driving down to the event.

The basic tournament information is as follow:

* Friday July 1: Registration and Welcome
* Saturday July 2: Competition
* Sunday July 3: Competition and Awards

For those of you who might have concerns about driving down to participate in the event, a Green Angles’s convoy will be a great option to consider. The Department of Tourism's caravan that will meet at the San Isidro border crossing and accompany all who wish to caravan down to San Quintin and back.

Here’s how it’ll work: A vehicle from the Department of Tourism (Green Angles) will be at the San Isidro border crossing on the Mexican side by the Declaration Lane on Friday July 1 from 11:30 a.m. to12:30 p.m. This vehicle will lead the convoy down to Don Eddie’s Landing.

On Monday, July 4, the Green Angeles’s caravan will leave Don Eddie’s Landing at 8:00 a.m. and return to the San Isidro crossing. This will still give anglers plenty of time to celebrate the 4th of July back home that evening. What a great way to spent the holiday weekend and honor Don Eddie's memory!

A list of all participants will be given to the Department of Tourism so no one is left behind. If you are interested in joining the celebration of Don Eddie’s life, the caravan or are looking for a captain, please e-mail Tony Marquez at Don Eddie’s Landing at doneddie@hotmail.com.
