Tucson pilot raves about BA!

"Mike, here is my report below as posted on the NEW BBP Forum 6/24/11.
Call or email me for more info. Had a great trip!!

Mexico / Report on a Recent Trip / Bahia Asuncion, BCS

Recently returned from a wonderful BAJA discovery trip to Bahia
Asuncion! Our search for San Diego weather (w/o the Marine layer!) at
Mexico prices led us to the 4900' dirt strip just East of the fishing
town of Bahia Asuncion (BSU). Our most accommodating and generous host
Shari Bondi and husband & Ecco/Fishing Guide Juan Arce Marron were
patiently waiting for our C-182 arrival from Tucson (via Hermosillo
AOE MMHO). After 100+ degrees in Tucson & MMHO the 80+ degrees at the
desert strip was almost "balmy". After a dusty 10+ min. drive w/AC on
high my wife was shocked when rolling the windows down on the "main
street" discovered she needed a sweatshirt in the 65 degree ocean
breeze! Clearly this was a great find for those of us seeking a COOL
escape from "Summer in the Desert" at bargain $$ in a quiet delightful
little town of full time fishermen, American & Canadian "Ex Pats" &
retirees. Shari & Juan Arce own/operate the Blow Hole B&B right on
the water $60/nite and rent several small houses from $50 - $90/
couple. We had a very nice little 2 story 3BR 1BA Beach House w/
"killer view" upper deck over looking a 15+ mi. "walking" beach w/o
ANY development. We walked to the grocery & small local restaurants!
Not the place for the "Cabo Resorts & Hard Party Crowd" but what a
great place to "chill" & explore the real Mexico! Best for LR tanks OR
auto fuel capable.
Check it out! Info & pics www.bahiaasuncion.com or Local
Asuncion blog www.bahiaasuncionmexico.wordpress.com Then email
Shari Bondi at sharibondy@gmail.com , You can tell her we're coming
back! Tony & Kerry"

Keri is a beach walker so they were happy at the Beach House (in Hawaii) as it is still pretty cool out here in Alaska (the blowhole)
