water station

As one heads out south of San Felipe.....there is a water station out there in the middle of no where. It's an very interesting spot to visit. Took the kids there a while back ago....and splashed our faces with the cool desert water.

It's called "The Well" and is located very near Campo Los Olivos and also to the road that serves Matomi Ranch/Canyon.

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

The well (just a well) was there since the 1960's when we first drove south of San Felipe... perhaps earlier. Just a wood lined well... no tank back then. Rancho San Rafael began in the 1970's.
