Glad your stay was good.

We stayed in one of the $35 rooms and I just had to add my support to all the others before me.
The staff was downright giddy over Mexico's victory over 'Alemania'.
........
Also heard that the Canucks didn't fare so well in the Finals. There must have been some soul searching at Asuncion. Pobrecitos.

About the 1st of May, i stayed in one of the "Old" rooms. I found it quite adequate, Clean, bed I could sleep in comfortably, clean bath room, and a
TV. Suits my needs and I was very satisfied.

I say we should make up Baja Cactus T Shirts and we could choose from which room numbers we like best. We could even choose between the David K or
Jenny N model?? Time for another Nomad party there esp for us new guys. Choose your weapon, amigos. I'll take the T with an older room as I'm
paranoid about dirtying up a new one! Tio

I love starting out with a clean room because I am perfectly capable of making my own mess.

I would hazard a guess that considering the finish, amenities, and price, there's no better place to consider between Ensenada and Loreto.
Alas, given that Antonio and family are long time business folks in this town, and just my personal opinion, the downside is that it's in El Rosario.
Over the years, many members here have posted their personal choices up and down Baja. For me, the town has always felt just a little bit creepy to
me.
That said, since most of y'all don't have that same bias, by all means, you're not going to find a better flop from Ensenada to Loreto. Go for it.

Too bad that you didn't enjoy the Baja-Rosario Cultural Festival of 2005, 2006 and 2007... I think it may have changed how you 'felt' about this small
farming and fishing town. Baja Angel and I would consider making the area a part time residence, after meeting the town folks...

After dealing with the heat and dust for so long it was great to roll into this motel and really baby yourself.
We watched:
(1) 2 episodes of Seinfeld (Kramer tries to sell a 'manzier')
(2) "Family Guy" (the dad recognizes Jesus at a health food store)
(3) "Gettysberg"
It's set up to make you feel back home. For one night we no longer felt like we were in Mexico.

When we first started going down south fron the Gold Country Baja Catcus and Mama Esponisas was kind of a no brainer for a stop. aftes living in
Ensenada Area for eight years It doesnt make much sense to stop there, usually stop in San Quintene for breakfast then roll on. Its not like it was in
the begining Now there are lots of good resturants and motels all along the route.

"Can you tell us how to do it; are there LAN/network receptacles in the rooms(my preference) or is it wireless without much monkeying around?"
LAN in the rooms - not sure about wireless as I have just used the LAN connection in the room. I do bring my own ethernet cord. Jim

Seriously, DK, I appreciate your post. However, as I stated at the beginning, going back many years, the vibe there just unsettles me.
Everyone else is welcome to enjoy all that El Rosario has to offer.
I stop in many places during our trips down and up the peninsula, and I'd hazard a guess that some of my faves would draw complaints from some of
those in this community.
Different strokes, ya know!

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a couple restaurants that delivered. You could get your room and place an order then take the much awaited for shower
and clean up and not have to wait too long for a tasty meal. Maybe $30 extra per meal delivered?
