Flying high for the Sinaloa drug cartel

This is the 3rd installment of the LAT series on the "drug war" and it's players. This article/story is about a pilot from Carlsbad and his drug smuggling career that spanned over 35 years. There is a photo video of the pilot telling his story in his own words that is good listening and a little different from the article.

I've been reading that series in the Times. One thing that really struck me was how widespread this cartel is.

The guy in this article was from the South. He smuggled/ transported domestically grown (from his own farm) stuff for years. The cartel obviously paid better.
