Anyone heading to Bahia Ascuncion area from San Diego around Aug. 22'ish?

Hi All,

Plans change...what else is new? I'd like to still get down to see lovely Bahia Ascuncion for about a week or so, leaving around August 22/23.....(hopefully I have a ride back at month's end)

or

If anyone is going to and from that direction in Sept as follows:

a. heading down there from SD end of August by Sept 1
b. returning from that area past SD by Sept 9th

Of course, I'll happily pitch in with driving (can't drive a manual though) and gas.

Thanks much!

Shari or others can give you cost info. But it will drop you off in Vizcaino. You can then find a ride into BA or I think there might be a shuttle but not certain.

yes, taking the bus is always an option...BUT...we find that ride sharing can be much more fun, interesting and helpful to a person travelling down alone....particularly if a rider shares gas costs.

The other thing is that there is no shuttle service into Asuncion so for someone to go to Vizcaino to pick you up at the bus depot costs alot...more than $50 and takes a whole day so you see, car pooling makes more sense when it is possible. There are some people heading here in august that I know drive down alone and works best if you are flexible and can work around their schedule.

the bus is around 900 pesos and takes around 12-13 hours...some people get off and stay in El Rosario the night to split the trip up. The night bus works well as the trip goes faster...if you can sleep on a bus...and gets to vizcaino in the morning.

Muchas gracias to all!

I'll pursue all options, prefer to meet some nice folks and shareride and expenses ...nice way to really see things as well. So I'll keep after that as priority uno on this road to Ascuncion...
