Mexico Citizenship Test?
Does anyone have access to the questions for the citizenship test?
Either on line or via email?

Amigo, my cheat sheets eerrr study sheets were provided by my Immigration Attorney. Of the many things he did for me one was to provide practice
tests.. Jorge Pineda I believe. The topic of Naturalizacion has been discussed here before---search or wait for Nomad assistance. Tio

I highly recommend using Gilberto Pineda to help you get through the process...it gives you a much better chance of getting it...smoothly. Be
forewarned though...one of the 5 questions I got on my exam WASNT on the test question sheet!!! I think you are only allowed 2 wrong answers...yikes.

A note about Gilberto: I wrote him in English and he responded in Spanish which was fine. I don't know if he can speak or write in English -- I
would think he can but chooses not to.
Not everyone takes the written test.

I heard that he will speak to you in English now ... he spoke to one of our guests in english. buth e does feel that if you want to become a mexican,
you must be able to converse basic spanish.
if you are over 60, no test, so my hubbie will not have to take it
the questions now do come only from the test preparation sheet and if you miss the 2 or 3 allowed, you have another chance to take it again. either
same day or whenever you feel ready.
I highly recommend Gilberto too: GILBERTO PINEDA CAMPUZANO
gpcpineda@hotmail.com
tel: 55 5529-8701
cel: 044 55 5419-6812
bear in mind that if you use him, you must fly to mexico city to start the process and again 4 to 6 months later to pick u your naturalization papers.
all female docs must be in maiden name.
now get this.... the round trip ticket la paz/mexico city/la paz is less than $300.

Blanca, can we get a little clarification on this? US passport and FM2 are in married name, birth certificate is, of course, in maiden name. If you
file for citizenship in your maiden name how do you tie it all together?

I'm thankfull for being born in the USA! Don't need any other citizenship. When you've got the best, why settle for less?

hmmmmm Cypress, we live here and dual citizenship is a fantastic thing. I would never give up my american citizenship (by birth) but adding another,
why not ? in fact it was my third since I am also brazilian (father worked at Brazilian embassy in NY).
I am not sure why Gilberto made me put everything in my maiden name . but he is the one to ask about this. what he told me is that this is the
mexican way and that every document had to be in my maiden name ...

Does everyone who gets Mexican citizenship have to go to Mexico city? Or can it take place in another city, somewhere nearer to Baja?

It can take place anywhere. gilberto in M City is just the fastest we have heard about. Some people take up to 2 years for their
citizenship/naturalization to come to fruition. Mine was done in 4 months almost to the day.
and we lOVED Mexico city - talk about museums - holy smokes, the museum instituto de antropologia and historia took us a full day and we didnt see
all of it, the archeological site of Teotihuacan simply has no words adequate to describe its amazingness. there is a restaurant called la casa de
los azulejos that not only has delicious food but is located in an historical building that has your jaw drooping as you eat, right there in the
downtown district. the cathedral with the aztec dancers in front. and what about the diego rivera murals that took him 20 years to paint inside the
gvt bldg located in front of the cathedral and FREE to explore ... and then the canals with the floating islands and boats and mariachis and plants
and food -
but if you are not in a hurry or have been there done that, I am pretty sure someone can recommend someone closer to BoLA and I can recommend ALONSO
LOPEZ who is based in la paz but can probably meet you in BoLA.
