I can answer that. They will but just give you lip service and don't insist the insurance company(Qualitas) honor their contract. They were no help at all when the repair work done on my truck by the Qualitas contracted repair shop was sub par(really bad) and the guarantee of quality workmanship was not honored. I still get mad every time I look at the chipping paint and other crappy work.:fire:

I had annual Qualitas for a couple yrs., probably won't
go back due to the posts here over the past months.
Qualitas which I understand is also sold by Costco, get's a
good share of negative responses . I'm a believer that the
US Mex brokers are just that, Brokers, they sell policies
for Mex Ins Co's, they do not write out specifications,
exclusions on policies nor enforce them. How much influence
they may have on the Mex Ins Co's themselves, I imagine
it may be less than some of us would like to believe.
Was this body work done in the US or Mex? I know you can pay a premium to have the work done in the US with Qualitas. Was there a liability claim paid with your vehicle
damage? Just curious

The Baja Bound (and Discover Baja) policy from HDI covers the cost of repairs made in the USA!

This topic hss been discussed ad nauseum over the years. We all do business with brokers. We don't buy insurance directly from the insurance companies.

There are a myriad of California excess lines brokers that do business with mexician insurers.

Without favoring one over the other, I would urge anyone contemplating a Baja trip to check around. A surprising number maintain sophisticated web sites.

My advice is that the brokers that offer the most diverse numbers of carriers and provide clear languabge as to the exact covergaes and exclusions, are the brokers you ought ot be doing business with. Although I hate to end a sentence with a preposition.
