I'd like them to quote prices that include all the taxes, fees, etc. I'm sure those tickets will still cost $500 bucks round trip when it's all said
and done

Any idea approximately what those taxes and fees might be? That price to Guadalajara is very tempting!

I really don't have any idea about the taxes, fees, FMM's, etc. I think you can find out when you try to reserve.

True, I was just wondering if anyone had a ballpark idea as to what the taxes and fees for any airline ticket were today. It has been many years
since I have been on an airplane.

Being lazy, I guess---

Besides, until our dog is well we can't go anywhere anyway. It has just been way too long since we have been on the mainland and Guadalajara is a
great place to start.

If you are able to find the $119 fare on the day you want to travel, it works out to $334 including taxes and fees for LAX to Loreto round trip. It's
a great deal. Haven't seen a non-sale fare in that range in years.

It's a high percentage because the airfare is a low price.

Taxes and fees from the US to Mexico have been right around $100 USD per round trip ticket for many years. The fees include the cost for an FMT/FMM.
Alaska Air will refund this fee if you show them your FM2/FM3 at the check-in desk.

It's still a good deal. I'd rather pay 35% on a $334 ticket ($238 +/- $100) than 20% on a $500 ticket, ($400 +/- $100).

For what it's worth: Yesterday I booked a RT from La Paz/Tijuana on Volaris, $224., incl taxes, departure end of Oct. An okay deal but nothing
spectacular.

Seems to me air travel in and out of La Paz is worse than it was when I first came here in 1987.

At the same time air travel is worsening, construction of high-end destination resorts, hotels and condominiums in La Paz is increasing exponentially.
Which leads to two questions: where are all the well-heeled customers and buyers supposed to come from, and; how are they supposed to get here?

There was a window a couple of weeks ago when the FAA was not funded and fees normally assessed by the FAA were not collected. During that time I
bought a round trip ticket Loreto/LAX for travel early next month for $285 U.S., taxes and fees included.

Back in the early '80's RT TJ/Vallarta was $110 total,
don't know what that would factor out to in todays
$, but $224 to LP is cheaper than the Bus to LP,
which the bus is close to $125 one way, looks like you got
the 30% off? the 50% sale was a couple weeks back

I rcv'd a Volaris email sale offer just this AM... (50%). You might want to shop there as well....

I have not yet flown Volaris, so I cannot attest to their service yet....
