Traditional Fiestas in Bahia Asuncion photos
We all survived another round of Fiestas Tradicionales...whew...they were really fun and town was packed with people, cars, drunks and horses.
Here is a little slideshow of some of the events.

Here is a video I took at the end of the cabalgata after they got to the church and the band was playing.

Very cool Shari! WE watched the horse races last year during the San Ignacio fiesta - so crazy how they ride bareback, and use an old car seatbelt
around the horse which they hook their legs into - and off they go. One guy even rode barefoot. And the betting on the sidelines was intense - lots
of pesos changing hands after the race!

oh yeah, the horse races are something to behold in these parts...most of the regional races have barefoot jockeys and seatbelts and if a better
doesnt have any cash on hand, they bet cars, boats, motorcycles, roosters etc. These races are my favorite events to attend...live bands and beer
tents, gorgeous horses and tricked out vaqueros...yeah baby!
