Cabo/San Jose Internet and US TV

May be moving down to the Cabo/San Jose area from Baja Norte where I presently live.

I'm wondering:

1. Internet: Is Telmex/Telnor high speed Infinitum internet available throughout the area? What download speeds are offered, and at what prices? Is it generally a reliable service (works great where I live now).

2 Satellite TV: What, if any, gringo satellite TV services are offered (Direct TV, Dish US, Starchoice, etc.)? I have Dish from San Diego now and it works very well.

Thanks!

FYI
There is a package deal from Telmex that allows you free unlimited calls to the US and anywhere in Mexico.

edit to add:
the deal includes internet

DISH works fine in BCS, however, you will need up to a 2 meter dish and if you want to receive programming from both satellites you will need a second dish.

With Star Choice you can use the regular size dish.

Thanks all for your replies.

Couple more questions:

1) Regarding the Dish and Starchoice satellite dishes and receivers, is the hardware available for purchase/lease from one or more businesses in Cabo, San Jose, and La Paz?

2) If so, can one sign up for the programming with Dish or Starchoice from down there, or do you have to sign up back in Canada or the US?

Thanks.

Do you need a Canadian address to sign up for Starchoice down there? Where do you sign up for it (ie. who sets it up)?

You don't need to do anything I can sell you the equipment and then we share the programming cost.
