Mindy or Miguel?

Anybody know why Mindy Selinger uses the pen name Miguel Salazar for her Baja Emergency Guide? Just wondering.

If that is the case, maybe because she doesn't want to deal with "anonymous" idiots attacking her?

IDIOT?

Thanks for the flame.

It is a simple question isn't it? I was confused when listening to Baja talk radio and the host kept calling her Miguel Salazar.

Why would she use a Mexican, male pen name? For credibility?

Simple question, not meant as an attack.

Sorry,

I didn't mean it to be a "flame" at you......but, the "annon" is a ready target. I may be a bit sensitive because Mindy has been attacked too many times for my "comfort zone"

I listened to the program and one of the first things Mindy explained was why the pen name. If you heard the program you wouldn't have missed that part.

Choral Pepper also used a male pen name in some of the articles she wrote in Desert Magazine.

It's not fair, but men still get more respect in many countries.
