Day Trip To Tecate -- Pottery


Well after hearing reports that Tecate was THE place for pottery, the family decided to take a day trip down to check it out.

Heading across the border and into the quaint, great town of Tecate:

The places we stopped for pots:

On our way back tot he border we stopped at the Pemex at the bottom of the hill coming ion town. This Pemex officially has the cleanest bathrooms in all of Mexico:

To sum it all up, I scored some pottery for my cactus garden, but I was not impressed with the quality nor the selection. The artisan area south of Rosarito put this strip to shame. That is, unless I totally missed the main Tecate spot for pottery.

Square Pots???


Did you notice any square pottery pots in your travels???

Bajaguy: nope. All circular. I remember seeing some square stuff in Rosarito.
