One soldier dead, one kidnapper dead and 2 police seriously injured....you know Cabo San Lucas is just too tempting for the Narcos to leave unstained with their filth :(

The real attraction of Cabo to the narcos is the money laundering real estate investment opportunities. All those expensive hotels etc..
I don't see it as a corridor for trafficking....but stranger things have happened.

Yup. Those billions in US cash dollars need to go somewhere. Hotels, unregulated casinos and real estate development.

There is also a huge domestic drug market in CSL, consisting of both locals and tourists.

I tend to agree with Dennis on this. If anything, drug kingpins would use this area for investment and laundering. It has been absolutely quiet in the region for quite some time.

And, for the faint of heart, please note that the area where this battle took place is not in the tourist zone, but rather up the hill along the highway that goes to Todos Santos.

That said, I actually did some shopping at Soriana's last week, which is located a mere few blocks from ground zero.

All the bad guys want to build hotels in destinations where nobody goes...the empty rooms will however be shown as full when the books are complete at the end of each day.

For sure. The first time I hit the link, it took me to Maggie's, but her blog of the day was about Grover.
Next time I clicked on it, the blog was about Nomad.
Very weird.
