Hwy 1 border to BOLA jct Nov 3-4

A little slow getting this out but I'be been doing other things. Here's a quick update on the lowlights.

Toll road has a couple of construction sections where both directions are on the same side of the divider, slow but no stops.

The construction north of Santo Tomas is similar to how the construction went south of Maneadero. Lot's of rough bypass with occasions pieces of old pavement. Could be slick in the rain, it was well watered and I had the rear end slip out once. It's an impressive new cut through the last hill before dropping into the valley.

About 10 miles on either side of the San Fernando mission turnoff has culvert work, shear drops off the pavement on both sides at each culvert. Some to the white line, some inside the white line making for a narrow road. Time it so you don't meet trucks and busses at those points.

New pavement south of Catavina towards Chapala is nice, 10-15 miles done but in ends and goes into gravel with no warning. Exciting times pulling a boat at 80 kph. Fortunately the northbound lane was paved for another 1/4 mile so I used that to slow down before dropping off the edge.

Everything else was business as usual. Enjoy the ride!
