SENRI lane at east gate in Mexicali

I have not gone through the SENTRI lane at the East Mexicali gate. Please tell me, if you can, exactly how to enter that lane from the normal approach...for me....to the border entrance. That is to say from the EAST.....How do I avoid getting stuck in a lane going across the bridge with everyone else?

I heard that you have to proceed
West past the normal lanes to the border and then hang a U turn, tell the cop not to ticket you for that U turn and then turn left into a SENTRI lane. Is that the way it still is?

Thanks a bunch.

BB:-)

Just go the way you always go. When you get where you turn into the border lanes from the 4 lane road, stay to the far left. there are three lanes and the far left is clearly marked Sentri. You will be next to the same lanes you took before sentri. the lanes goes over the bridge and you will be barracaded from the other lanes. If you crossed before the sentri it would be the far left lane as before.
have fun.
