Feliz dia de la Virgin de Guadalupe (fishing report)

Today our village begins celebrating the Dia de la Virgin de Guadalupe. As is the tradition here, the men go out fishing so that the celebrations feature fresh BBQ yellowtail. tomorrow is one of only 5 days off that the lobster fishermen get all season so it is a happy day for families and fishermen.

So Juan and some amigos went out and the morning started out slow as it was a bit cloudy but when the sun burst through, the fish started jumping and the bite turned on both trolling and jigging...they loaded up on nice big fish...some of which were over 40 lbs! ...the bite continues!!!

smiling amigos were happy to come over and get a fish to take to el rancho....buen provecho a todos y feliz dia!
