Highway 5

Took a trip to the border yesterday and thought I'd remind all of you that will be heading toward San Felipe in the near future of a couple things
1. No Pemex stations between La Puerta and San Felipe, almost a even 100 miles. 3 poles and La Ventana are no longer Pemex stations or have fuel. The Pemex in La Puerta also has diesel.
2. The potholes are growing in size and number from just south of the gold mine road north for 10 or so miles. Seemed worse on the northbound than south.
3. Repaving is progressing from arches north on 5. Putting second layer down near K180 today. How much farther north??? A sign at about the El Dorado Beach Club enterance says 14K to be done so don't know where that puts the end - but I'll wager sure not anywhere north of the sign.

The weather's great - come on down.
