I'd better explain this photo I just posted. That is me viewing the mountain from Blue Bottle ridge in about 1954. We climbed it later. It was so long ago I have forgotten some of the details, but it was so pristine and beautiful at the time. This I will never forget.

It is a ridge located on the edge of Diablo Canyon in the San Pedro Martir range of mountains. We stayed at Meling Ranch, hiked up into the mountains and this is a common place to view Picacho. Obviously inexperienced at posting photos, but learning at your expense.
