Salto

We went to Salto recently. A clean, nice area to visit and camp.. It is at Km 76 north of Ensenada on the "free road" between La Mission and Ensenada. It is rugged terrain. We just spent the day as it was cold and windy and wet.

In addition to seeing some camp dogs, we did see one Tarantula!

on the "free highway" between Ensenada and La Mission turn right at Km 76 if coming from Ensenada. Stay on the dirt road and you will end up at a campground. From the campground it is about a mile and a half walk to salto. Cost for staying the day is 20 pesos and 40 if camping the night. The bathrooms are in good shape.
