I had a friend who spent his pre-and-early-teen years traveling on the Magic Bus with his parents who were part of the Merry Pranksters. Their life
with the group in Kansas was as crazy fun as life on the Bus. Great stories my friend shared before crossing over due to AIDS.
The bus you photographed brought back this memory... and put a huge smile in my heart. Thank you much, Ken, for happening on this very cool sight.

I took the precaution of using four wheel drive to get to the secret surf spot these guys got TOWED into.
The Mobile Groove Bomb.
Rumor had it there were enough amps and speakers on board to hold a rock concert.
Actually pretty nice kids in my short interaction.

No apologies necessary. To show you there's no hard feelings, I'll shout you a beer on your next trip to Idaho.

I was at that event. I thought the Dead was a mediocre band, spent some time with Garcia, now he was an interesting cat. I did not approve of the
punch bowl, thought people should only take that if they knew they were doing so. Leave those experiments to the CIA! Didn't approve of those
experiments either.
Pigpen went missing during the event and I recall then using the speaker system, a big one, to try and get him back on the stage. It took him a long
way to get back up there with the band.
