We had a carjack attempt in Playas a few years ago. Never let anyone box you in and always think of your escape route. Worked for this guy, and for us. Everything worked for this guy which is nice to hear. It is true they are usually released soon after the photos are taken, but that is the system they have right now.

Welcome "chitedetector".

I am aware of no Sunni lurking here to detect. If you are claiming to be #1 in the #2 business... that position has already been filled.

Hangin' out in the 'Soler

I have spent dozens of afternoons visiting friends, eating a roach-coaches and lounging in Soler. There is a Police sub-station in Soler near La Glorieta. It is entirely possible that the Police were able to coordinate a surprise on these would-be car-jackers - at 4AM. My advice for the gringo is to lock his doors after midnight.

Playing with a new Soler Puppy

After a full-on 4WD run, the motel in 'Soler was the best place to leave my Rubicon while visiting with amigos in the barrio.

The Soler market is a great place to get fresh vegetables and food from local Farmers.

Pre-owned merchandise is also for sale at the Soler market.
