How Come Mengano Was Banned?
Anyone know why Mengano was banned? I enjoyed his accurate translations of events that are happening in Mexico today. It's informative to hear the
"Otherside of the Story" as the great Paul Harvey use to say. I'm a big boy and can make decisions on my own from what I observe and read. Also
letting me know about the BNs who have less than a steller background is helpful. Would you want Ray to babysit your kids or leave your wife alone
with Horns?
Guess this censored site will return to those who have a vested interest in keeping the truth about certain parts of Mexico hidden.
Very disappointing.

I quit reading them a while back. certainly did not merit any replies. Very boring for the most part.

I hope so.
Ya know.....in all the time Mengano/Fulano/A-Head and all the others posted here, they almost always started out with news from an outside source, and
verufied with links.
Then...the sheet hit the fan, but it was thrown by someone else.
I'm not defending Mengano et al.....just making a point. You folks here who argued and fought most often with Mengano thrived on it as much or more
than Mengano hisself, but don't worry.....your game will begin again after, of course, the required respite.

I also liked his posts, in fact they were the only ones I was reading as of late. He provided a great service imho. As a fulltime resident of baja, I
like to be informed of what is happening around me. We also read the local news daily, but often Mengano posted news we didn't see.
Why is there even a Baja News area if baja news is not welcome? I mainly visit this site for the news. Maybe the Baja News area would be better if it
was just a large sand box one could bury their head in.
Seems to me that all of Mengano's thread got lots of hits, which would be a positive thing to a blog owner, considering the more hits a site gets the
more value it has to the companies sponsoring this site, which in turn would mean more $$ for the BN site.

I agree with you. If you don't like to hear the news that Mengano posted just don't read it. I prefer to make my own choices on what I read here and
his posts were useful to get the big picture of what goes on in Mexico. Now everyone can go back to looking at pictures of fish and flowers and
finding out where to get that best fish taco.

My impression of mengano was he only posted bad news. Similar to the sensational stuff printed NOB about Mexico. The people NOB reading this
stuff don't/can't differentiate mainland MX and Baja -- killings in Acapulco make Baja equally dangerous. Drug busts in Tiajuana doesn't mean La
Paz has a drug war going on.
I too was amazed at the number of nomads who participated in mengano's threads about violence and negative stuff. Maybe by discussing what is
upsetting, the negative will be easier to deal with? Don't have the answer to that.
I think anyone traveling Baja knows the beauty here. Even if they've not experienced anything bad, they're aware that bad things happen.
Provocative and sensational headlines in a thread might provide some readers comfort (see! There IS violence in Mexico!), but does little to reflect
the true state of affairs down here. Even if some of the bad news is true.

Perhaps the folks that he terrorized here in the BN for going up against him.......that ended up have a full page story done about them.....including
family member names and pictures....bogus information....private information blasted on the fulanofiles ....and here in the BN.....got him kicked out
of here?

We do DENNIS deserve...... an balanced news accounting of Baja.
Another issue was (and will be again I am sure!) that Fulano would post these 100 % negative news stories and/or his remarks....right below another
BN's post that was talking about good stuff of Baja. He just slammed the good stuff......and that's where it was wrong. Debate him a little after his
postings...he then make it nasty with personal rebuttals. .......till he got the last word in.
We are all indeed have entitlement to express opinions .....Fulano was assassinating BN's here for their positive outlook of Baja.

I'm neutral on the ban/reinstatement issue, but whatever happens next, dude should never again be allowed to post close-up photos of his hands.

This guy’s posts were always labeled as to what they were about, no bait and switch. If his posts bother you, why are you reading them. So they ban
the guy so FEZ and a couple others doesn’t get his feeling hurt. Baja Nomad just took a step in the wrong direction. Censorship is never good.
