Between the Rains

It is a little like a trip report from an afternoon in our own backyard,

The morning light on San Roque Island--just a drizzle at the time

Afternoon and early evening before the next rain squalls

And my favorite slice of reality

We ended up with 1.10" of rain. Still breezy, cloudy and 60º

Although it's not as nice as being there; it sure helps.
I can almost smell the sea air.
Thank you !

Thanks for the nice comments and it is always interesting to see which ones someone likes. Glad these make some of you want to be back down here. And I see a couple of horizons I need to straighten a little --- opps.

Very clear this morning so I am in trouble now---my walking partners will be looking for me and I don't have the rain as an excuse.

The colors were quite unusual and quite a sight to see. From the reflection, the entire bay looked almost like it was full of red mud.

And more THANKS----The comments are appreciated as is that lovely photo.

one thing I wish I could have photographed last night was the first moonbow we have ever seen. We did not know they existed. It was after one of the downpours and there it was. We just could not believe it.

I ran for a camera, John ran to get the tripod from the car, I tried to set the setting for an afterdark picture as quickly as possible, but meantime a big dark cloud covered it up!

But we are so happy we got to see this. It was a full arch and a light grey in color against the black sky. --- quite a sight.
