A few years ago in El Arco we had a flat repaired and the llantero had converted the a/c compressor in his old truck to use as an air compressor. It
worked well and I admired his innovation.

They've done that on desert buggies for years. Never know when you'll have to have some air.

lots of people here disconnect their air conditioning compressors to use as an air compressor for inflating tires...works great...we have done it on 2
of our vehicles.
