El Requeson

Most shots of El Requeson, Bahia de Concepcion, are of the spit in the lagoon where the tourists camp. This is the fish camp you pass entering the area.

Thanks all for the comments.

Bob,

Your comment about going back in time, is one that comes to my mind when deciding which photo I take will become a BW. Sometimes it is when the shutter is pressed, mostly though it is after I have downloaded them and I then decide. Very few that I take become BW.

Nice photo. Drove by El Requeson yesterday and looked up the English translation...thought it might mean sand spit. But, cottage cheese? Did I look it up wrong (twice)?

Nothing against cottage cheese, but why is the beautiful place called El Requeson?

Black & white photos were an art in themselves. You could use a dozen different filters to obtain different effects of the same scene, (non could do the work of a polarizing filter, however).

But now-days, Photoshop, i-Photo, Aperture, et al can convert any photo into B&W, and even sepia.
