Baja's best ceviche and cocteles
I'm a mariscos lover and have had it all over Mexico but this place makes the best ceviche and cocteles anywhere. Give it a try the next time you're
in San Quintin, you'll be glad you did!

Many have posted of the Palapas/Mariscos in SQ. What's the name of your pick and name some favorites?! Just had Campechana at Mi Costa here in Todos
Santos. There used to be lots of Coctelerias here for Oysters but most have disappeared. Love Baja. Tio

It's called "El Perico". It's on the left hand side as you enter town. They make killer cocteles too. Man, I'm salivating just thinking about it!!

i'm slow sometimes, but i'm thinking a picture of the shingle they hang out front might be better than a picture of the grub.
oh, and just WHERE does san q begin? see?
not trying to bust your bubble as i'd love to try Perico sometime.

El Cliente!!
I am with Martyman....El Cliente in SQ is a must for us every time we drive the Baja.

You can't miss it. On the left side of the road when heading south. You have to duck under the whale skeleton to get
in the door.

Just sitting waiting for goodness that is about to come to our table!!

Oh Yeah!! Campechana ordered every time we stop and never have been disappointed!

El Cliente or "La Ballena" as my kids like to call it is our favorite spot too. We've had the best seafood here and the almejas ahumadas (Clams cooked
on the grill) are the bomb!

Maybe it's just me, but....
There's a recent thread here complaining about getting sick after eating in Mama Espinosa's in El Rosario.
So, roadside ceviche???
So, call me a wuss, and perhaps an elitist, but I will always go back for the ceviche in LA Paz at both La Perla and Tailhunter. In Cabo, Villa Serena
serves a killer ceviche.

hmmm catsup on your marisco's? |
I smear mayo on the tostado before adding the ceviche on top. Delicious. I agree about the Catsup- but hope it came with the table, not with the food.
My family puts catsup on pizza! What's up with that?

In Rosarito Beach my current favorite place is "Los Cabos". It's a block or so behind Waldo's east of the Main blvd.

I've had the Campechana at El Perico twice recently and it is one of the best things I have had anywhere. I'll try El Cliente next trip to compare.

I usually stop at "El sabor de la vida", i love the oysters there, though last time it was closed and went next door to "Popeye". Very good ceviche
and tostadas.
Last week comig down from Ensenada, stopped at "El sabor de la vida" to pick up some Almejas ahumadas for my wife and chatting with the Almejero, told
me that the owner of the field in the back of the shacks its going to stop working the land and renting them the street front and turn the place into
a big macroplaza, their contract finishes in dec/2012.
I asked him why they dont organize themselves and look for a better or similar place, and he told me (literally) that it would be be easier to pack a
bag with dogs, cats and rats.
