Non-resident passport renewal in Cabo San Lucas?

Hi everyone,

Is it possible for non-residents to renew their passports at the US Consulate in Cabo San Lucas? Has anyone gone through the renewal process lately? Just wondering what my options are, and how long the process is taking these days.

Thanks!

Really?

The consulate used to be by the Senor Greenberg's "Mexicatessen" in downtown Cabo.

Sounds like they moved to a very more upscale neighborhood. Nice to know that the Department of State spares no expense!

Hi morgaine7:

"Do you mean non-resident of the US or non-resident of Mexico?"

Sorry, I meant to ask if non-residents of Mexico (like me) can renew their passports at the consulate in Cabo. From looking at the web site, it seems pretty clear that residents can use this service, but I was not sure if non-residents (temporary visitors) could do this as well.

Thanks. Sorry for the confusion.
