Every little bit helps. If they can take some seats from Alaska, maybe then the prices will start to come down.

Except that...

Looking at their site, it appears that with the exception of a two week initial promotional period, they expect to charge $500 r/t for what appears to be coach.

Those prices do not appear to be any major threat to Alaska Air.

I emailed them to get clarification on what is included for that rate, and I'll post when/if I hear back from them. Also note that they just have one flight per week, on Saturday.

Finally some competition to bring down the Horizon price gouging! Supply and demand is one this, but $800 round trip to LTO? Lets hope they last this time.

Don't get your hopes up on this. Kinda funny, but, the other day, I accessed their site and found the fares to Loreto from LAX. And the $399 flights were for only the first couple of weeks, rising thereafter to $499.

Today, when I accessed their site, there were no fares quoted to Loreto.

It appears that if, and when this service actually begins, it will be mainly a captive of Villa Group to ferry unsuspecting folks to Ensenada Blanca for a hard core time share selling event.

I emailed them 3 days ago, and no response yet - even though their website says "we will respond quickly to your email request". I'll try giving them a call tomorrow. Contrary to what Bajahowodd said, their website still does quote prices.
