Favorite Mexico Blog and Mexico Premiere's Nick Gallo Award Announced

"Recently two special awards were delivered to two deserving recipients who specialize in Mexico.

About.com's Mexico Travel Guide announced the results of its 2012 Readers' Choice Awards and (although we were in the top five) we are happy to announce that writer, editor, foodie, and traveler, Rebecca Smith Hurd's blog, All About Puebla took home 'Favorite Mexico Blog'. We think her blog is awesome and we know you'll like it too. *Note - If you are planning on attending Tianguis Turistico next year, it will be held in Puebla in 2013 so now would be a great time to familiarize yourself with the city and all its offerings.

Mexico Premiere also recently announced the winner of the '3rd Annual Nick Gallo Award.' The award was presented at the Puerto Vallarta Destination Booth c-cktail at the 37th Annual Tianguis Turístico de México and went to journalist and photographer, Larry Dunmire, who put together an extraordinary look at whale sharks in Cabo in his article "Gentle Giants of Baja" (Cabo Living Magazine). According to Mexico Premiere, "his article was chosen from among dozens of Mexico articles as an excellent feat of storytelling that will surely bring this astonishing adventure to the top of visitors' lists for years to come." The Nick Gallo Award was created by MexicoPremiere.com and co- sponsored by Mexico Boutique Hotels four years ago in honor of one of the country's fondest admirers.

The MEXICO Report congratulates the winners and salutes all of those who make an effort to share their positive stories about Mexico with the world, everyday.

We arrived in Puerto Vallarta on Thursday evening, a city filled with the some of the best energy in Mexico. The airport signage for Tianguis was everywhere, welcoming visitors and those who are in the Mexico travel and tourism industry.

We've had wonderful meetings with travel partners and even stopped by the newly constructed convention center to register for the conference. Last night we had a fabulous dinner at Vista Grill, a gourmet restaurant located up on the hill overlooking the entire Bay of Banderas, one of the best views in all of Vallarta."
