Highway 12 - Bahia de los Angeles

Something I hadn't asked, nor looked up before our trip was the condition of the LA Bay highway.

Suffice it to say that as of this week, it's in darn good, and smooth, condition... all the way from Hwy 1 to Bahia de los Angeles.

Saw some livestock along the highway near the San Borja road junction.

fyi

Never heard it called Mexico Hwy. 12 before... It has always had Hwy. 1 signs on it... Interesting!

Didn't go back to take a picture of it, but passed a kilometer marker that looked normal, except instead of the actual #, it had a large question mark on it...

It is fairly close to the deep wash before the lookout,
On the right side headed East (that would make it South side of the highway)

Never saw a ?? mileage sign before

I think it's been repainted - as my recollection is that it was not so faded this week. ??

It was not only bright black paint
but I thought that the ? was better styled,
the one in the foto is sort of a scrawl
the one I saw looked like it had been stenciled

near San Borja turnoff?

I remember seeing a Km? sign almost 2 years ago. And not getting a picture. Neat the San Borja turnoff, maybe?

Just before that turnoff is where I almost met a new friend ... white albino (?) burros & skid marks. I love the skid marks and his timing to be right there when I arrived.

He didn't stick around after I stopped and got out to pet him.

Another near miss. We were towing a large boat. The bull moved after we backed up.
