Wrecked my truck, need a ride North from San Quintin

Hello, had a very unfortunate incident this morning which has left me vehiclesless in San Quintin. I would just hop on a bus, but I also have my dog with me and of course my belongings in my truck as well (camping and surf equipment). I either need a ride for my dog and myself, and return for my gear, hoping it's still there, or take it all with me. I am from Canada, and either way will be needing to acquire a vehicle to return home with.

Hang tight amigo! Glad you're not injured and your dog, too. Some Nomads live in San Quintin and may be able to help. Baja Gringo? Post on TalkBaja. Sanquintinsince 1973?? Be patient as your distress call gets read. Tranquilo. Good luck. Tio

Ok, posted on bajatalk as well, also came to my attention probably not the best idea to leave my gear in the truck while I head to US, so if anyone was able to offer a secure storage place that would also be great! I didn't have my drivers liscence sith me rts, but I have a copy of it, and have already dealt with police and insurance and didnt seam to be a problem, its still waiting at the border for me.
DENNIS, my truck rolled over and the front end and box are both quite squished. That may have not been the biggest problem, but the frame also has a crease in it just behind the passengers rear control arm. Thanks for the help everyone!

You might try Irene at Posada don Diego's, Carr. Transpeninsular Km. 174
Vincente Guerrero, B. C. Mex., Baja Norte
Mexico
011-52-616-1662-181

They might have room there to store your truck and stuff till you can get back. Good people, give them a call.

Amigo, where are you holed up? Cell phone. I'd call Irene in nearby Colonia Vicente Guerrero at Posada Don Diego. Good call Larry as she has always extended her knowledge of the area and has rooms and restaurant! Bump. Tio

And BajaGringo has him squared away - with a place to store the gear, watch the dog, and a place to spend the night before taking a bus ride north in the morning.

Thank you BG!

Great news! So simple with a little help. Let's hear how it went on the bus to help the next crew in need! Nothing's easy!

edit: i mean, you did have FULL insurance, right?:light:

I spent $2300.00 on a rebuilt (not new) transmission and 3 years later, I had to sell the pickup for $2500.00 Had I left the thing in Baja, and bought a Jeep then, I would have been so far ahead.

Recovery in Parque Sierra San Pedro Martir in Aug. 2001.

We got Brad all squared away, Unfortunately his truck is wrecked but we are working on finding a buyer for it as the engine is almost new and it has some salvage value. It is a Toyota pickup so there should be some interest down here. All his gear is safely stored out at our place and Brad left this morning by bus heading north to secure another vehicle to return for his stuff and Zac, who will be spending the rest of his Mexican vacation with us...
