Love it! Blue Palms are somewhat unique in that they will grow away from water as well, particularly in the Berrendo/Matomi region---this one is
growing at 4,200 ft elevation on the edge of a very dry lava mesa (notice Agave desertii as an indicator of aridity!), so they can take occasional
snow as well as drought. Tough arse palm!

I love the white-white quartz sand and the blue palms... boojums too (my favorite tree)... all in this photo... taken 5.6 miles from Rancho Santa
