Red Tail Hawk -vs- Rattle Snake
Wow, this just shows how smart these birds are! Unreal footage if you ask me. Looks like somewhere in Baja!

In Hollywood movies the distinctive cry of the red tailed hawk has come to represent all raptors.
How often have you seen scenes of bald eagles with the soundtrack of a red tailed hawk?
I once read the quote "a salmon is what a fish ought to look like". Apparently the red tail hawk is what a raptor ought to sound like.

This sound is very distinctive... I hear it all the time in my back yard when they are being teased by black birds!
A high squeal sound.

Compare that to the bald eagle's vicious cry.

Amazing! I enjoyed watching the clip. thanks for sharing.
Is it instinct (programmed in its DNA) or the red-tail hawk gets its growing-up training/learning exoerience with this kind of prey? He must know
that his targeted prey is venomous. I'm thinking one bad experience and he's the rattlers meal.
But then in the wild, wild animals know there are no second chances, no drills, no hospitals, just real wild life of the moment. Hmm, i guess I
answered my questions.
