Loreto to be designated a "Pueblo Magico"
After much negotiation and shmoozing, Loreto will be designated a "Pueblo Magico", joining notable historic towns, such as Todos Santos, San Miguel
de Allende, and Guanajuato! FELICIDADES A LORETO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What this says more or less is that on June 5th, a delegation including our Baja Sur Governor and Fonatur Officials will come to our humble pueblo and
confirm that we are indeed a "Pueblo Magico".
The good news is that Loreto will get more Federal funding for the roads, water system and sewers, as well as underground power in the historic
district, and some of the MODELO beer signs will have to come down!!

Congratulations, Loreto. Your history makes you worthy as well as your beautiful location on the Sea of Cortez. Todos Santos did get some new light
fixtures but underground power was done on only one of our two main streets?! The Hotel California, the church and plaza still have spider webbed
overhead power lines. The main advantages are the notoriety of a Historic town and its attraction for tourism. Still sounds cool "Magic Town".
Arriba Loreto. Tio

Yeah for Loreto - absolutely beautiful town and people. I cherish moments at Mc Lulu's and can never wait to get back there. Yum! Pueblo Magico! Way to go.

Great for all of us! Loreto is our hub for fly-ins and many drive north in search of the B.C. beaches and to visit Mulege. With all the power lines
running through the Mex. #1 I would hope that someday the feds or CFE will find it in their heart to run electric power here. So many places that seem
to be nowhere have power and we are left in the dark except when the generators purr.
Great news for Loreto. It benefits all in the area.
Loreto, Pueblo Magico
Mclulu's was not just taco's....it was lulu! I'm sorry to hear she is not open.
