Shell Island

Ok, once more for all you shell Island fans!! Just got back from shutting the house down for the summer. Weather was warm, but agreeable. Nights cooled down so one could sleep. The beaches were deserted! Percebu had some campers when I left on Sunday. The water was BATH temps!!! It called for cold cervezas while sitting in the water. Mexicali was HOT as expected. Border crossing 15 min (Sentri). Looking forward to October!

Thanks Chris... You (and BajaRob) leave just when it is getting nice (for us)!

Looking forward to our return to the island since New Years and specially since our last time camping there (July 4th weekend, 2011) when that wind came up Saturday night and destroyed our camp (and sank the Erik).

Mood: Anxious to get south

We're heading down this weekend for 5 days, nice and hot with warm water...

Shell Beach is always on our list of places to go, it helps we're only 1 mile from it's Southern tip and three miles from the entrance to the Island.

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

Dave and Chuck - enjoy!!!! I'm done now until October. I heard that a number of the locals are checking out to Ensenada or Rosarito a month early this year.

'Shell Beach' is near Mulege... but I know you are talking about the same place as we are!;D

Have any more photos of the Enchanted Islands, but one that is not zoomed in so much so we can see the peninsula coastline, too?

Thanks Chuck... and have a GREAT time on the beach!
