That's why many of us

quit posting pictures. Probably better to have a site to go to to view them. I have http://groups.msn.com/TheBajasBestGuidesPhotoAlbum for all my pics. and stories.
MSN groups are free unless you want 30mb extra space and then it's $19.99 a year.
I hear there are better options available now.

I finally figured out a quick way to reduce photo file sizes on my Widows XP... See my Camino Real Hike thread I have been adding to this morning. The ones from my files ("David K attached this photo") are reduced to around 30kbs from the original 60-70kbs on my web site. A couple were already below 50, and I direct linked them to the post. Anyway, it was a relief to figure out how to reduce them easily!:P

i know how to reduce the size but i take very high resolution photos sometimes they are 950k and are beautiful. reducing them to 50k really doesnt do them justice. but thats the rule

That's true only for book quality transfers, I think. However, just to share the view and tease the audiance, 30-50 kbs is fine. The BIG whale shark photo taken by Ken that I hotlinked to his thread is under 50 kbs. This is another of Ken's photos and it is only 45.5 KBs...
