Fatal accident in Punta Banda

A multi-car accident occurred yesterday afternoon on the road to La Bufadora and snarreled traffic for about 7 hours. Unfortunatele it resulted in the death of Celia's husband Manuel. Our deepest sympathy to Cecila who is the poroprietor of Celia's restaurant/ mini-mart at La Bufadora.

Hard to imagine how a car can generate enough speed to cause all that mayhem in such heavy traffic on a narrow road.

DEP...Manny.....we lost a good one here.

How sad Manny was a nice man.
About 6 yesterday afternoon I was out on the deck and saw a lot of people up on the road above us and wondered what was going on

Stuck in it westbound last evening, I assumed it was Dennis' welcome back parade.

Unfortunate that there was a fatal accident. That road has many crashes due to combination of speed, alcohol, view gawkers.

Accident was approx 400m west of Lomas del Mar. Traffic was backed up way east of Lomas del Mar and on the west side, backed up almost to Campo 9 gate.

D.E.P. Manny y familia. Take care driving, Nomads.

The line was still growing way after dark. One might think a"road closed" sign on the highway down the hill might have avoided some of the mess, but....oooops...almost forgot where I am.

Didn't know Manny, but, how sad. The road out to the blow hole needs the drivers attention to the fulllest for sure. One look away and you could be in trouble.

RIP Manny!

It's the punk kids with their noisy two cylinder cars that want to use the road as a race track. Always a problem.

The cars with the "fart cans" for exhaust pipes? Yes...
