Los Monos Baseball Weekend In Erendira

The 7th annual "Copa de Baja" baseball game/fundraiser was held last weekend in Erendira. As always, the weekend was full of great food, surfing, fishing, relaxing, baseball and just generally enjoying Baja. We raised money for 12 scholarships for kids in the village, 3 of whom will be starting college in Ensenada this year. We also gave away close to 100 bags of school supplies for the younger kids as well. Here are some photos from the awesome 4 day adventure!

The journey begins!

Heading out to the toll road...

The view near Salsipuedes...

Lunch stop at Las Brisas in Ensenada...

Quesatacos!!!!

Some cute gatos were up for grabs at El Palomar in Santo Tomas...

We found out on Sunday that they had all been adopted!

The road near Erendira with some cool cloud formations...

The coastline near Erendira...

The blowhole south of Erendira doing it's thing...

Erendira sunset...

A nice evening bonfire at the Monos headquarters...

Waits got his new Monos bat boy jersey!

Waits working hard at the game...

Bat boy Julian with his dad Rick...

Coach Greg with his son Waits...

Monos fans providing some support as well as heckling...

Rick won the VIP trophy for the Monos...

Good game...even though the Monos lost 15-4. Ouch!

Giving out school supplies to the kids...
