Asuncion fishing report...woooo hooo!!

Yesterday Capt. Juan, Surfdoc and Faustino went a bit further north than usual in search of some bigger yellowtail. They found a nice area and hauled in a bunch of tails to feed friends and relatives here for the Fiestas. I just finished smoking up a batch and we gobbled up loads in sashimi and seared YT.

Knowing we were gonna score some nice YT, Sirena & I decided to fish today too and had a blast. Sandcastle Mike came along too and we all caught nice fish. There were mola mola sunfish everywhere and the swell was getting pretty big. It was a perfect, calm day on the water.

Izaak is getting the hang of reeling in fish but his real passion is for driving the boat which he wanted to do most of the time out.

yum yum...fresh yellowtail heart!!!! a real pick me up after a tiring day haulin on fish.

yes, tonight...come on down...stumble out my door, look for the pirate ship, and veer a bit left....I think there will likely be a few yellowtails on the grill as well....water is really warming up, too.
