My idea of PERFECT!
What makes me happy? Lots of things...good food, good company, laughing till I cry....but today was a 10 on the happy scale for me. Nan & D picked
us up to take us to their boogie beach. It was a perfect day and the water was about the same temp as the air so it felt like silk caressing my skin.
The bubbles from the breaking waves made me light in the head as if I was bathing in champagne....drunk on waves I was.
It was a big day as Izaak rode his first wave on his new boogie board...not even 2 yet and loved riding his board with nana and swimming with David
and Sirenita...he even put his head under water a few times.
Warm waves, sun, family and friends...my idea of perfect happiness.

Sitting here in the gloom of the smoke pall as the mountains burn all around me, I pick up the phone three times a day to have a robot tell me she can
save me money on my fixed rate REVERSE mortgage! Rachael, the electronic ****, has no idea if I even HAVE a mortgage. It's the 1% trying to pick my
bones.
I awoke yesterday on my own schedule and looking out into the haze asked myself what I was doing. The only answer seemed to be, "Waiting around for my
life in Baja to begin."
I killed my TV two years ago, and still I can't help but be aware that even the best of the progressives in my USA are weasels at heart. The rest
render me speechless.
I'm supposed to be living where if I played my cards right, Poppy Perry could stay on the beach and watch that cutie, while the little mermaid had a
swim with her mom!
You are walking the path with heart, and helping me choose mine. Thank you.

well Poppy.....I have been in your huaraches and lived several years feeling the same thing...just biding my time before baja. Taking the leap to live
here full time was the best decision I ever made...albeit, my path hasnt been easy by any means. But learning the culture and changing my habits have
led to many "10" days here. Living with less have given me so much more. Today's swimming lesson for Izaak would be so much nicer with you on the
beach...cant have too many baby minders!...our arms get tired!
I think fear of the unknown keeps many hanging on NOB...only you will know when you are ready but you know we will help you adjust and live happily
ever after here as many do. Listen to Juan playing his new guitaron.......ya cant go wrong.

Thanks buddy. I've been running this between SF and Portland.

As soon as it moves, so do I. There is the problem of MY favorite miniature human. How I will miss THESE swimming lessons! This was a "10" day!

The littlest gypsy saw the pictures of Izaak swimming/boogie boarding, and he wanted to jump in the car to come on down and play with Izaak in the
ocean.
I must say that Izaak is one remarkable boy, to have caputred the heart of a 13 year old boy so much.

Yesterday Izaac learned how to duck-dive!
He got a couple of 10' boogie board rides.

yesterday we sunday'd at Pig Beach so I could bathe in more champagne bubbles and the kids could surf. Another "10" day...sheesh, I'm not sure I can
withstand all this perfection.
Here is a little sequence of Izaak's progress in surfdom....thanks tio David for teaching me to duck dive!
David caught some good waves too
this is a great sandy, forgiving beach for learning to surf and boogie board. Some of the Jurjos surf club are giving surf and boogie board
lessons...here is one teaching his novia to boogie board.
