I felt a little bit of the one that hit just before 2pm. Not much to write home about for what I felt here in N. County San Diego. Seems like a lot
of activity right now, huh?
The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.

This area has been seismically active for a long time. Moreso since the "big" Mexically quake. The entire San Andreas fault system from the Sea of
Cortez up to the Palm Springs area has been very BUSY since then. Below is an (800 pixel) screen capture of this week's activity, this time centered
mostly around Brawley, California --- the yellow and orange dot clusters. Dot size = strength.
World tectonic plate boundaries and their rate/direction of movement are included.
Google Earth has a "real time" feature for seeing earthquakes world-wide (by date and by magnitude). Check every so often and you'll be amazed at the
amount of activity between the Mexican mainland and the Baja peninsula, all the way down to La Paz and even further.
Here is a larger version of the same image.
